Lesson 1 in setting up your free adult site
Who am I, and why am I doing this?
I won't use my name, but I spent two years running adult websites. Personal reasons made me quit doing this full time; but I am able to spend a little time every so often helping others. And myself, of course, as I'll explain in a moment.
I'm going on the basis of starting out for free - content, hosting, the whole kit and kaboodle. Later, as you learn the industry a little more, you should be able to apply this knowledge to starting your own websites, maybe even creating your own product, which is fun!
And I'm not doing it for free either. No, I'm not charging for this. But the links I will provide will be set up with my affiliate code in them; this code ID's me to the sponsor when you sign up with them. And every time you make a sale, I get a commision based upon the sale. You get a big commision, I get a small commision. A typical cut often is 50% commision to you, a 5-10% commision to me, and the sponsor keeps the rest.
So why then is the sponsor giving up so much of their profit? In essence, by providing you with material to work with, the sponsor is hiring you as a salesman for their product. If you reach a customer, and make the sale they don't have the resource to make, you are making them money. I play a role in this by recruiting you for the sponsor and by "training" you. I mean training in the sense that I will show you how to promote these products.
Sound like Amway, or a scam like that? Well, I promise you that you're not going to be making high pressure sales pitches to your friends and family. I promise you that you can do this with NO money out of your pocket.
And there are plenty of services that are out there to help you in the same fashion (along with several scams, so we'll walk sharp); they will set up things that run easy, in order that you will sign up with a sponsor under their downline. There are also a LOT of webmaster sites in which webmasters share information and help. In fact, the use of these boards will be an early lesson. I will go into upline/downline considerations later, because you will be recruiting folks down the line later, if you wish. As an added benefit, you are going to be finding that you can apply these methods to mainstream products as well.
The last things I want to MAKE VERY CLEAR to you. You will not get rich quick. You will have to work hard at this for it to work for you. Don't expect to see sales for at least three months. There is a lot of free material out there, and that makes competition rough.
Another thing I want to cover quickly, you don't need to start a corporation, or a business to do this. You won't be making enough money at first to justify that expense. You will want to see a business lawyer (most cities have a consultaion service which will set you up with a lawyer for a short meeting at minimal cost - I paid $20 for an hour's worth of questions) and an accountant if you are serious about this, but you don't have to do that tonight. If you already have business set up for this, all the better. But as far as this lesson goes, you will be using your own info.
So are you ready to get started?
OK, lets begin with a service that will help automate the process for you. They are called ZippedSites, and they do a great job with some advanced techniques. You won't be using many of their functions at first (KISS - Keep It Simple Stupid), but as you develop talent and resources, their automation will become very handy.

Next, you're going to sign up with these two sponsors:
The first is CashManiacs. They are NOT my best seller, but they have material in all niches, and they offer free hosting:
http://www.cashmaniacs.com/signup.php?wm=fatboy1
The second is MovieDollars; they are my second best seller; they also cover all niches, they have a lot of movies to promote, and they offer you customized theatres to promote. As an added bonus, if you work in a place where you meet a lot of people with open minds, MovieDollars has a card program where you can get preloaded cards with movie minutes for free. You hand these cards out. Customers use the minutes, and if they like the site, tend to spend a lot of money there.

Finally, you're going to need a place to post the content. To start out with, you're going to open a weblog. Trust me, this is easy as falling off a log. You've seen these websites before (sports blogs, personal blogs, etc.).
And now you're going to start one - or two. And let's be very clear again here as well. You are NOT going to use blogger.com as one of your free blogs. Blogger's terms of service are very clear. Maybe you see someone has gotten away with it. For a while. You're going to waste a lot of time and effort if you go with Blogger, because sooner or later, they're just going to shut you down.
Why blogs? Search engines just love blogs, and you'll be indexed in no time. In addition, blogs were made for RSS feeds, and that is a big source of traffic.
So, you're going to sign up with:
Thumblogger
or
redlightblog.com
redlightblog.com
I've had problems setting up logs here recently, so if the signup doesn't allow you to signup under the "redlightblog" name, go ahead and sign up, and email their support you're running an adult blog.
OK now, that should take up the rest of your evening. If not, typing this up has taken mine ;>
See you back here in the next couple of days.
On to Lesson Two!
